Affordable housing with Kevin Mims

In 2008, Michael and Katherine Mims exited their business of 25 years and started Gene Mims Investments to be the parent company for their diverse investment portfolio. A portion of that portfolio was, and still is, mobile home and RV parks. In 2015, Michael Mims passed away and his son Kevin, along with Kevin's brother-in-law Steven “Harry” Winslow joined Katherine Mims to continue the ventures Michael had started. 

This new company, founded in 2018, is called K8H Ventures.  K8H Ventures is a real estate investment company focused on greenfield developments in recession-resistant asset classes. Outsized, risk-adjusted returns and community betterment are our primary focuses. K8H Ventures’ Principals have a long history in Manufactured Housing and believe it’s the solution to the current housing crisis in America. 

By developing quiet, safe, and affordable communities that maintain a traditional, high-end, single-family subdivision feel, they are creating the perfect solution to the housing shortage in Texas.
